Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Helsinki Oil & Gas, OMX Helsinki Consumer Services PI and Helsinki Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.98% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 3.41% or 0.31 points to trade at 9.34 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.08% or 0.23 points to end at 11.30 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.89% or 0.38 points to 20.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which fell 0.83% or 0.50 points to trade at 59.65 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.75% or 0.35 points to end at 45.66 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) down 0.06% or 0.03 points to 46.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 99 to 68 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.52% or 1.21 to $78.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.52% or 1.15 to hit $74.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.65 to trade at $2,543.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 101.80.
