Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Helsinki Financials, OMX Helsinki Consumer Services PI and OMX Helsinki Health Care PI sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which rose 6.16% or 0.64 points to trade at 11.03 at the close. TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) added 2.27% or 0.39 points to end at 17.58 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.28% or 0.61 points to 48.21 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 2.62% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.94 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 0.93% or 0.10 points to end at 10.69 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) down 0.28% or 0.05 points to 15.96.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 82 to 73 and 32 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.12% or 0.09 to $74.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.28% or 0.20 to hit $70.59 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 17.50 to trade at $2,708.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 103.54.
