Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the OMX Helsinki Consumer Services PI, Helsinki Telecommunications and OMX Helsinki Health Care PI sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA), which rose 2.03% or 0.44 points to trade at 22.14 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 1.05% or 0.65 points to end at 62.60 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.61% or 0.02 points to 3.79 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 1.33% or 0.05 points to trade at 3.33 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 1.21% or 0.11 points to end at 9.13 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) down 0.52% or 0.06 points to 11.49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 90 to 69 and 29 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.61% or 0.02 to 3.79.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.95% or 0.75 to $77.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.93% or 0.70 to hit $74.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 12.25 to trade at $2,540.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 100.91.
