Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.97%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials , Personal & Household Goods and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.97% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CO: DANSKE ), which rose 1.69% or 2.4 points to trade at 144.5 at the close. ISS A/S (CO: ISS ) added 1.49% or 3.10 points to end at 211.10 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO: JYSK ) was up 0.85% or 2.5 points to 296.8 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Ambu A/S (CO: AMBUb ), which lost 7.87% or 11.0 points to trade at 128.8 in late trade. Genmab (CO: GEN ) declined 5.58% or 53.6 points to end at 906.4 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO: CHRH ) shed 5.51% or 34.6 points to 593.6.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 28 and 14 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.07% or 1.55 to $73.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.73% or 1.47 to hit $83.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1192.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.45% to 6.4628, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4594.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.06.
