Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.52%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals , Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.52% to hit a new 52-week low.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CO: NZYMb ), which rose 1.38% or 4.1 points to trade at 301.3 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO: CHRH ) added 1.00% or 6.6 points to end at 665.2 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO: JYSK ) was up 0.94% or 2.7 points to 288.6 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Lundbeck A/S (CO: LUN ), which lost 26.63% or 108.9 points to trade at 300.0 in late trade. William Demant Holding AS (CO: WDH ) declined 3.66% or 7.6 points to end at 200.0 and Genmab (CO: GEN ) shed 3.58% or 29.4 points to 792.4.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 75 to 48 and 13 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.61% or 0.41 to $67.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.45% or 0.34 to hit $76.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1232.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.18% to 6.5608, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4610.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.41.
