Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.66%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas , Consumer Goods and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.66%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO: MAERSKa ), which rose 3.27% or 350 points to trade at 11050 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO: MAERSKb ) added 3.16% or 355 points to end at 11600 and DSV (CO: DSV ) was up 0.41% or 2.0 points to 492.8 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO: VWS ), which lost 3.79% or 16.7 points to trade at 423.7 in late trade. Pandora A/S (CO: PNDORA ) declined 2.10% or 12.8 points to end at 596.4 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO: FLS ) shed 1.84% or 6.7 points to 358.3.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 41 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.53% or 0.34 to $64.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.13% or 0.09 to hit $69.87 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.19% or 15.90 to trade at $1352.60 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.70% to 6.0109, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4460.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.82% at 89.14.
