Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Copenhagen Oil & Gas, Copenhagen Chemicals and OMX Copenhagen Personal & Household Goods PI sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.66% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which rose 3.72% or 33.00 points to trade at 919.00 at the close. Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) added 3.63% or 30.00 points to end at 857.00 and Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) was up 1.96% or 58.00 points to 3,018.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 12.82% or 15.30 points to trade at 104.10 in late trade. Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) declined 12.79% or 53.70 points to end at 366.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) down 6.44% or 710.00 points to 10,310.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 87 to 49 and 12 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 3-year lows; down 12.82% or 15.30 to 104.10.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $71.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.28% or 0.21 to hit $75.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.60% or 71.45 to trade at $2,678.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 1.87% to 6.95, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.65% at 105.03.
