Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.29%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals , Consumer Goods and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.29%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO: VWS ), which rose 2.64% or 11.3 points to trade at 439.9 at the close. Oersted A/S (CO: ORSTED ) added 1.07% or 4.10 points to end at 386.20 and Genmab (CO: GEN ) was up 0.64% or 8.0 points to 1263.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Novozymes A/S B (CO: NZYMb ), which lost 1.81% or 5.8 points to trade at 314.2 in late trade. Danske Bank A/S (CO: DANSKE ) declined 1.45% or 3.6 points to end at 244.1 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO: CARLb ) shed 1.28% or 9.4 points to 723.8.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 53 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.15% or 0.09 to $60.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.12% or 0.08 to hit $64.72 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1325.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.11% to 6.0194, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4493.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 89.69.
