Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Copenhagen Health Care, Copenhagen Consumer Goods and Copenhagen Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 4.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 6.32% or 54.60 points to trade at 918.60 at the close. Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) added 1.89% or 16.50 points to end at 889.50 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb) was up 1.35% or 5.70 points to 428.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb), which fell 1.83% or 16.40 points to trade at 882.20 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) declined 1.47% or 12.00 points to end at 801.60 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) down 1.18% or 21.50 points to 1,805.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 84 to 44 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Shares in Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.47% or 12.00 to 801.60.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.42% or 0.32 to $76.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.33% or 0.26 to hit $79.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 4.65 to trade at $2,467.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was unchanged 0.04% to 6.83, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 102.90.
