Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Copenhagen Consumer Goods, Copenhagen Health Care and Copenhagen Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 4.30% or 35.60 points to trade at 864.00 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 3.17% or 5.30 points to end at 172.60 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 0.77% or 80.00 points to 10,440.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 2.01% or 3.40 points to trade at 165.70 in late trade. NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) declined 1.13% or 6.50 points to end at 569.50 and Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb) down 0.96% or 4.10 points to 423.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 74 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.13% or 0.85 to $76.08 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.71% or 0.56 to hit $78.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.90% or 21.85 to trade at $2,454.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.13% to 6.84, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.11.
