Defence stock jumps after receiving order for gun stand assemblies from defence firm
Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Copenhagen Oil & Gas, Copenhagen Consumer Goods and Copenhagen Health Care sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.55% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which rose 14.52% or 35.70 points to trade at 281.60 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 4.80% or 5.10 points to end at 111.30 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 3.98% or 17.50 points to 456.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Rockwool AS B (CSE:ROCKb), which fell 4.65% or 15.00 points to trade at 304.00 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 0.71% or 90.00 points to end at 12,510.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) down 0.70% or 90.00 points to 12,705.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 87 to 43 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.72% or 0.45 to $61.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.76% or 0.50 to hit $65.04 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.46% or 47.24 to trade at $3,280.74 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.11% to 6.63, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.11.
