Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Copenhagen Consumer Goods, Copenhagen Health Care and Copenhagen Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 3.09% or 17.60 points to trade at 587.00 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 2.28% or 5.30 points to end at 237.30 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 2.05% or 240.00 points to 11,970.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA), which fell 0.12% or 1.50 points to trade at 1,256.00 in late trade. Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 407.50 and Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) up 0.07% or 0.10 points to 150.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 82 to 51 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.28% or 5.30 to 237.30.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.27% or 0.90 to $71.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.55% or 0.41 to hit $75.63 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.61% or 46.66 to trade at $2,947.36 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.22% to 7.13, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 106.79.
