Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.18%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods , Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.18% to hit a new 3-month high.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO: PNDORA ), which rose 17.63% or 50.3 points to trade at 335.6 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CO: COLOb ) added 4.64% or 28.4 points to end at 640.2 and Novozymes A/S B (CO: NZYMb ) was up 4.12% or 11.5 points to 290.4 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Carlsberg A/S B (CO: CARLb ), which lost 0.19% or 1.4 points to trade at 750.8 in late trade. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO: VWS ) declined 0.04% or 0.2 points to end at 533.2 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO: MAERSKb ) gained 0.45% or 40 points to 8856.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 43 and 21 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.28% or 0.70 to $53.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.50% or 0.31 to hit $62.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.85 to trade at $1318.45 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.26% to 6.5436, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4653.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 95.808.
