Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Copenhagen Consumer Goods, Copenhagen Oil & Gas and Copenhagen Health Care sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 3.25% or 360.00 points to trade at 11,430.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 3.13% or 340.00 points to end at 11,200.00 and NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) was up 2.73% or 16.50 points to 620.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which fell 1.05% or 6.00 points to trade at 563.00 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) declined 1.02% or 8.60 points to end at 833.40 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) down 0.71% or 1.50 points to 211.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 77 to 54 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.45% or 2.58 to $77.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 3.01% or 2.35 to hit $80.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 15.30 to trade at $2,467.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.09% to 6.89, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 103.89.
