Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.77%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Chemicals and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.77%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO: VWS ), which rose 4.97% or 25.4 points to trade at 536.4 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO: LUN ) added 3.09% or 8.6 points to end at 286.8 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO: CHRH ) was up 1.84% or 11.2 points to 620.8 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Pandora A/S (CO: PNDORA ), which lost 2.41% or 6.8 points to trade at 275.6 in late trade. Ambu A/S (CO: AMBUb ) declined 1.57% or 2.5 points to end at 157.2 and Genmab (CO: GEN ) shed 1.46% or 14.2 points to 960.0.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 65 to 61 and 22 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.69% or 1.40 to $53.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.62% or 1.57 to hit $61.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.70 to trade at $1307.80 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.04% to 6.5354, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4648.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 95.523.
