Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.57%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare , Consumer Goods and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.57%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO: NOVOb ), which rose 3.69% or 10.7 points to trade at 299.2 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CO: CARLb ) added 1.48% or 10.8 points to end at 742.2 and GN Store Nord (CO: GN ) was up 0.86% or 2.5 points to 293.3 in late trade.

Biggest losers included FLSmidth & Co. (CO: FLS ), which lost 3.44% or 14.2 points to trade at 398.2 in late trade. Genmab (CO: GEN ) declined 2.54% or 25.8 points to end at 988.2 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO: CHRH ) shed 2.41% or 15.4 points to 623.0.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 76 to 43 and 21 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.11% or 0.07 to $65.64 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.43% or 1.07 to hit $73.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.40 to trade at $1270.10 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.23% to 6.4246, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4518.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.58.
