Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.49%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods , Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.49%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO: PNDORA ), which rose 3.74% or 22.6 points to trade at 626.2 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CO: CARLb ) added 0.89% or 6.6 points to end at 747.0 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO: NOVOb ) was up 0.88% or 3.0 points to 342.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO: MAERSKb ), which lost 0.98% or 110 points to trade at 11080 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO: MAERSKa ) declined 0.93% or 100 points to end at 10600 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO: VWS ) shed 0.63% or 2.8 points to 438.4.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 64 to 55 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.33% or 0.21 to $63.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $69.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1335.10 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.15% to 6.0841, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4464.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 90.31.
