Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.36%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.36%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CO: CARLb ), which rose 2.29% or 17.2 points to trade at 768.4 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO: NOVOb ) added 1.44% or 4.3 points to end at 306.7 and Genmab (CO: GEN ) was up 1.35% or 13.5 points to 1016.0 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Danske Bank A/S (CO: DANSKE ), which lost 2.01% or 4.0 points to trade at 197.3 in late trade. FLSmidth & Co. (CO: FLS ) declined 1.72% or 6.5 points to end at 370.7 and Novozymes A/S B (CO: NZYMb ) shed 1.59% or 5.1 points to 315.2.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 60 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.12% or 0.09 to $74.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.32% or 0.25 to hit $78.01 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 5.50 to trade at $1259.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.04% to 6.3891, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4511.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 94.24.
