Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.77% to hit a new 3-year low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.38% or 60.0 points to trade at 2580.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.89% or 100.0 points to end at 5390.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.38% or 20.0 points to 1470.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 7.04% or 610.0 points to trade at 8050.0 in late trade. Isagen SA (CN:ISG) declined 3.80% or 115.0 points to end at 2915.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) shed 3.23% or 600.0 points to 18000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.43% or 1.93 to $132.70 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 0.44% or 13.50 to hit $3114.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 2.12% or 23.90 to trade at $1151.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.72% to 3025.45, while BRL/COP rose 1.70% to 874.94.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.73% at 95.72.
