China shares higher at close of trade; Shanghai Composite up 1.06%

Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Life Insurance , Retailers and Travel & Leisure sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite rose 1.06% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SZSE Component index gained 0.80%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Shanghai Hongda Mining Co Ltd (SS: 600532 ), which rose 10.13% or 0.400 points to trade at 4.350 at the close. Shanxi Guoxin Energy Co Ltd A (SS: 600617 ) added 10.07% or 0.580 points to end at 6.340 and Silvery Dragon Prestressed Materials Co Ltd Tianjin (SS: 603969 ) was up 10.06% or 0.48 points to 5.25 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Beijing Huaye Capital Holdings Co Ltd (SS: 600240 ), which lost 10.05% or 0.610 points to trade at 5.460 in late trade. Gangtai Holdin (SS: 600687 ) declined 9.98% or 0.410 points to end at 3.700 and Anhui Xinli Finance Co Ltd (SS: 600318 ) shed 9.96% or 1.100 points to 9.940.

The top performers on the SZSE Component were Shenzhen InfoGem Technologies Co Ltd (SZ: 300085 ) which rose 10.02% to 10.54, By health (SZ: 300146 ) which was up 7.67% to settle at 20.50 and YOUZU Interactive Co Ltd (SZ: 002174 ) which gained 6.72% to close at 16.190.

The worst performers were Shenzhen Ysstech Info-Tech Co Ltd (SZ: 300377 ) which was down 9.98% to 12.45 in late trade, Xiamen Meiya Pico Information (SZ: 300188 ) which lost 6.58% to settle at 15.89 and Shennan Circuits Co Ltd Class A (SZ: 002916 ) which was down 4.58% to 71.31 at the close.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1186 to 200 and 70 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The CBOE China Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.66.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 0.90 to $1186.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.29% or 0.21 to hit $72.33 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.21 to trade at $81.59 a barrel.

USD/CNY was down 0.08% to 6.8847, while EUR/CNY fell 0.21% to 8.0047.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 94.69.
