TCS Q1 Margins Hold, Revenue Falters: SEBI RAs See Caution Ahead, Advise Watching ₹3,740 Breakout Level
Investing.com – Canada equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P/TSX Capped Health Care Index, S&P/TSX Capped Energy Index and S&P/TSX Capped REIT Index sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Toronto, the S&P/TSX Composite declined 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/TSX Composite were Parkland Fuel Corporation (TSX:PKI), which rose 5.51% or 2.00 points to trade at 38.28 at the close. Bird Construction Inc . (TSX:BDT) added 4.93% or 1.14 points to end at 24.25 and G Mining Ventures Corp (TSX:GMIN) was up 4.64% or 0.87 points to 19.62 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bausch Health Companies Inc (TSX:BHC), which fell 8.70% or 0.65 points to trade at 6.82 in late trade. Secure Energy Services Inc . (TSX:SES) declined 6.74% or 0.92 points to end at 12.72 and Baytex Energy Corp (TSX:BTE) down 6.61% or 0.15 points to 2.12.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 468 to 418 and 76 ended unchanged on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The S&P/TSX 60 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of S&P/TSX Composite options, was up 0.65% to 18.47.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 2.98% or 96.69 to $3,339.99 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.92% or 1.12 to hit $57.17 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.63% or 1.00 to trade at $60.29 a barrel.
CAD/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 0.72, while CAD/EUR unchanged 0.16% to 0.64.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 99.61.
