Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.05%
Credit: © Reuters. – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate , Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.05%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were JBS SA (SA: JBSS3 ), which rose 22.54% or 1.51 points to trade at 8.21 at the close. Fibria Celulose SA (SA: FIBR3 ) added 6.03% or 2.10 points to end at 36.95 and Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA: SUZB5 ) was up 5.61% or 0.81 points to 15.26 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Cyrela Brazil Realty SA (SA: CYRE3 ), which lost 4.09% or 0.46 points to trade at 10.80 in late trade. EcoRodovias SA (SA: ECOR3 ) declined 3.68% or 0.36 points to end at 9.42 and Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET6 ) shed 3.23% or 0.57 points to 17.06.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 185 to 170 and 34 ended unchanged on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 3.28% to 42.49.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.15% or 1.92 to $1255.02 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 5.24% or 2.69 to hit $48.67 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 0.79% or 1.02 to trade at $129.47 .

USD/BRL was up 0.06% to 3.2794, while EUR/BRL fell 0.04% to 3.6756.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 97.16.
