At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 1.05% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais (SA:USIM5), which rose 1.06% or 0.09 points to trade at 8.61 at the close. Cyrela Brazil Realty SA (SA:CYRE3) added 1.00% or 0.12 points to end at 12.10 and TAESA UNT N2 (SA:TAEE11) was up 0.64% or 0.13 points to 20.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA:RAIL3), which lost 6.22% or 0.76 points to trade at 11.45 in late trade. Ultrapar Participacoes SA (SA:UGPA3) declined 5.40% or 4.00 points to end at 70.05 and BRF SA (SA:BRFS3) shed 4.60% or 1.98 points to 41.02.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 248 to 129 and 32 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.55% to 33.75.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.87% or 11.25 to $1276.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.58% or 0.33 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.99% or 1.25 to trade at $127.47 .
USD/BRL was up 0.83% to 3.2788, while EUR/BRL rose 1.07% to 3.8259.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 94.27.
