Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.79%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Real Estate , Financials and Consumption sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Natura Cosmeticos SA (SA: NATU3 ), which rose 14.65% or 4.60 points to trade at 36.00 at the close. EDP - Energias do Brasil SA (SA: ENBR3 ) added 15.56% or 2.10 points to end at 15.60 and B2W Cia Digital (SA: BTOW3 ) was up 7.96% or 2.24 points to 30.39 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kroton Educacional SA (SA: KROT3 ), which lost 16.65% or 2.19 points to trade at 10.96 in late trade. Estacio Participacoes SA (SA: ESTC3 ) declined 10.65% or 3.30 points to end at 27.70 and Cia de Saneamento Basico do Estado (SA: SBSP3 ) shed 6.02% or 1.85 points to 28.88.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 227 to 225 and 29 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.41% to 27.25.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.21% or 2.80 to $1319.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.09% or 0.78 to hit $70.58 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract fell 0.25% or 0.30 to trade at $119.28 .
USD/BRL was up 1.41% to 3.5997, while EUR/BRL rose 1.65% to 4.2995.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 92.41.
