Investing.com – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Real Estate, Financials and Consumption sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Santos Brasil Participacoes SA (BVMF:STBP3), which rose 16.44% or 2.09 points to trade at 14.80 at the close. WEG SA (BVMF:WEGE3) added 3.43% or 1.80 points to end at 54.32 and Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3) was up 2.20% or 1.06 points to 49.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:YDUQ3), which fell 5.34% or 0.53 points to trade at 9.40 in late trade. Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:USIM5) declined 4.76% or 0.28 points to end at 5.60 and Vibra Energia SA (BVMF:VBBR3) down 4.04% or 1.00 points to 23.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 529 to 417 and 54 ended unchanged on the B3 Stock Exchange.

Shares in YDUQS Participacoes SA (BVMF:YDUQ3) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.34% or 0.53 to 9.40. Shares in WEG SA (BVMF:WEGE3) rose to all time highs; rising 3.43% or 1.80 to 54.32. Shares in Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:USIM5) fell to 3-year lows; down 4.76% or 0.28 to 5.60.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.56% to 26.89.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.24% or 6.30 to $2,652.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.62% or 0.44 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 5.00% or 12.55 to trade at $263.30 .
USD/BRL was up 0.52% to 5.54, while EUR/BRL rose 1.58% to 6.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 100.62.
