Brazil shares lower at close of trade; Bovespa down 0.31%
Credit: © Reuters. – Brazil equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate , Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa lost 0.31%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Fibria Celulose SA (SA: FIBR3 ), which rose 7.13% or 2.87 points to trade at 43.15 at the close. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA: SUZB5 ) added 5.15% or 0.92 points to end at 18.77 and Estacio Participacoes SA (SA: ESTC3 ) was up 4.03% or 1.19 points to 30.75 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais (SA: USIM5 ), which lost 4.77% or 0.38 points to trade at 7.59 in late trade. Marfrig Alimentos SA (SA: MRFG3 ) declined 3.03% or 0.20 points to end at 6.39 and Gerdau SA Pref (SA: GGBR4 ) shed 2.69% or 0.30 points to 10.86.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 192 to 183 and 32 ended unchanged on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 2.66% to 31.88.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 2.62 to $1290.42 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.05% or 0.55 to hit $51.59 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.66% or 0.85 to trade at $128.47 .

USD/BRL was down 0.32% to 3.1834, while EUR/BRL rose 0.02% to 3.7517.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 92.99.
