Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 1.33%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumption , Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 1.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Kroton Educacional SA (SA: KROT3 ), which rose 7.23% or 0.72 points to trade at 10.68 at the close. JBS SA (SA: JBSS3 ) added 4.70% or 0.39 points to end at 8.69 and Cia Siderurgica Nacional SA (SA: CSNA3 ) was up 4.69% or 0.43 points to 9.59 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bradespar SA (SA: BRAP4 ), which lost 2.13% or 0.61 points to trade at 27.97 in late trade. BRF SA (SA: BRFS3 ) declined 1.17% or 0.24 points to end at 20.20 and Cyrela Brazil Realty SA (SA: CYRE3 ) shed 0.86% or 0.10 points to 11.53.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 256 to 161 and 23 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 11.38% to 34.17.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.50% or 18.30 to $1200.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.44% or 0.30 to hit $67.33 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 1.01% or 1.08 to trade at $105.92 .
USD/BRL was up 0.49% to 3.8844, while EUR/BRL rose 0.44% to 4.4305.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 96.16.
