Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 1.13%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials , Consumption and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Kroton Educacional SA (SA: KROT3 ), which rose 9.15% or 0.89 points to trade at 10.62 at the close. Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais (SA: USIM5 ) added 7.19% or 0.52 points to end at 7.75 and Embraer SA (SA: EMBR3 ) was up 5.10% or 1.26 points to 25.98 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Companhia de Saneamento do Parana Sanepar Unit (SA: SAPR11 ), which lost 1.90% or 0.90 points to trade at 46.40 in late trade. Vale SA (SA: VALE3 ) declined 1.58% or 0.77 points to end at 47.99 and Equatorial Energia SA (SA: EQTL3 ) shed 1.32% or 0.77 points to 57.73.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 233 to 135 and 47 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.74% to 34.75.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.98% or 12.20 to $1253.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.32% or 0.24 to hit $74.18 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 0.30% or 0.33 to trade at $112.05 .
USD/BRL was down 0.37% to 3.8971, while EUR/BRL fell 0.15% to 4.5454.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 94.31.
