Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 1.00%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials , Basic Materials and Consumption sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Bradespar SA (SA: BRAP4 ), which rose 4.60% or 1.42 points to trade at 32.32 at the close. Raia Drogasil SA (SA: RADL3 ) added 4.07% or 3.01 points to end at 76.96 and Hypermarcas SA (SA: HYPE3 ) was up 3.93% or 1.05 points to 27.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET3 ), which lost 3.48% or 0.53 points to trade at 14.71 in late trade. Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA (SA: ELET6 ) declined 2.94% or 0.53 points to end at 17.51 and B2W Cia Digital (SA: BTOW3 ) shed 1.96% or 0.48 points to 24.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 218 to 202 and 39 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.07% to 54.43.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.75% or 9.10 to $1199.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.51% or 0.35 to hit $68.94 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.80% or 0.80 to trade at $99.80 .
USD/BRL was down 0.99% to 4.1660, while EUR/BRL fell 1.52% to 4.8440.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 94.94.
