Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.81%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Industrials and Consumption sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.81%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Bradespar SA (SA: BRAP4 ), which rose 7.52% or 2.68 points to trade at 38.32 at the close. Cia Siderurgica Nacional SA (SA: CSNA3 ) added 5.69% or 0.50 points to end at 9.29 and Gerdau SA Pref (SA: GGBR4 ) was up 5.43% or 0.90 points to 17.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cyrela Brazil Realty SA (SA: CYRE3 ), which lost 2.55% or 0.27 points to trade at 10.31 in late trade. MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (SA: MRVE3 ) declined 2.48% or 0.30 points to end at 11.80 and Equatorial Energia SA (SA: EQTL3 ) shed 2.37% or 1.42 points to 58.41.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 235 to 212 and 37 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.29% to 48.41.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 1.10 to $1205.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.32% or 0.23 to hit $72.31 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 0.82% or 0.80 to trade at $97.15 .
USD/BRL was down 0.42% to 4.0734, while EUR/BRL fell 0.33% to 4.7925.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.72.
