Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.63%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Industrials and Consumption sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.63%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were JBS SA (SA: JBSS3 ), which rose 12.89% or 1.27 points to trade at 11.12 at the close. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA: SUZB3 ) added 7.49% or 2.72 points to end at 39.03 and Kroton Educacional SA (SA: KROT3 ) was up 6.13% or 0.63 points to 10.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP - Energias do Brasil SA (SA: ENBR3 ), which lost 5.01% or 0.71 points to trade at 13.45 in late trade. Cielo SA (SA: CIEL3 ) declined 4.24% or 0.44 points to end at 9.93 and Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais (SA: USIM5 ) shed 2.76% or 0.26 points to 9.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 208 to 203 and 37 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 2.25% to 39.61.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.07% or 12.80 to $1212.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.04% or 0.58 to hit $56.27 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 3.25% or 3.55 to trade at $112.75 .
USD/BRL was down 0.52% to 3.7834, while EUR/BRL fell 0.13% to 4.2886.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 96.65.
