Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.61%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials , Real Estate and Consumption sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Kroton Educacional SA (SA: KROT3 ), which rose 6.76% or 0.71 points to trade at 11.21 at the close. BRF SA (SA: BRFS3 ) added 6.29% or 1.35 points to end at 22.80 and Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes SA Pref (SA: GOLL4 ) was up 4.81% or 0.51 points to 11.12 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cvc Brasil ON (SA: CVCB3 ), which lost 4.33% or 1.88 points to trade at 41.49 in late trade. Viavarejo Unt (SA: VVAR11 ) declined 3.71% or 0.65 points to end at 16.89 and Marfrig Alimentos SA (SA: MRFG3 ) shed 2.91% or 0.25 points to 8.33.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 1.37% to 33.08 a new 1-month low.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.22% or 2.70 to $1258.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.30% or 0.22 to hit $74.02 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract rose 0.69% or 0.78 to trade at $114.58 .
USD/BRL was up 0.26% to 3.8729, while EUR/BRL rose 0.32% to 4.5505.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.81.
