Brazil shares higher at close of trade; Bovespa up 0.39%

Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials , Public Utilities and Electric Power sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were RUMO Logistica Operadora Multimodal SA (SA: RAIL3 ), which rose 6.51% or 0.87 points to trade at 14.23 at the close. Estacio Participacoes SA (SA: ESTC3 ) added 3.87% or 0.84 points to end at 22.54 and B2W Cia Digital (SA: BTOW3 ) was up 3.41% or 0.87 points to 26.42 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fibria Celulose SA (SA: FIBR3 ), which lost 2.45% or 1.99 points to trade at 79.18 in late trade. Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA: SUZB3 ) declined 2.55% or 1.24 points to end at 47.31 and Raia Drogasil SA (SA: RADL3 ) shed 2.04% or 1.60 points to 77.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 244 to 208 and 35 ended unchanged on the BM&FBovespa Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 2.63% to 46.65.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.50 to $1205.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.47% or 0.33 to hit $69.92 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract fell 1.27% or 1.31 to trade at $101.47 .
USD/BRL was down 2.01% to 4.0665, while EUR/BRL fell 2.47% to 4.7218.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 95.03.
