Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the BEL Utilities Net Return, BEL Technology Net Return and BEL Industrials Net Return sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.67% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which rose 1.92% or 0.61 points to trade at 32.35 at the close. UCB SA (EBR:UCB) added 1.04% or 1.35 points to end at 131.40 and Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) was up 1.01% or 0.93 points to 93.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB), which fell 3.47% or 2.05 points to trade at 57.00 in late trade. KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC) declined 3.36% or 2.22 points to end at 63.90 and Warehouses de Pauw Comm VA (EBR:WDPP) down 2.68% or 0.70 points to 25.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 76 to 22 and 15 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
Shares in UCB SA (EBR:UCB) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.04% or 1.35 to 131.40.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.08% or 1.95 to $2,328.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.57% or 0.44 to hit $78.18 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.54 to trade at $82.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 104.96.
