Small-Cap Stock Outperforms Nifty & Sensex, Zooms 9.2% on Biggest Order Win

Investing.com -- Shares of the solar energy player KPI Green Energy (NS: KPIG ) jumped 9.15% to Rs 736.1 apiece at 11:19 on Wednesday, as it bagged the biggest order for execution of a solar power project.

The small-cap energy firm won a project for executing a capacity of 23.6 MW from M/s Nouveau Jewellery LLP, along with a 3 MW capacity from M/s Nouveau Diamonds Manufacturing India.

The total capacity under the aforementioned projects total to an aggregate of 26.6 MW under the company’s Captive Power Producer segment, stated its filing.

KPI Green Energy, formerly known as KPI Global Infrastructure is a small-cap solar energy generating company, with a market capitalization of Rs 1,297 crore.

At the time of writing, the small-cap stock outperformed benchmark equity indices Nifty50 and Sensex , trading 0.5% and 0.58% higher, respectively.
