Investing.com -- Bharti Airtel Ltd. (NS: BRTI ) stock is hovering near its 52-week highs. It closed September 14 at Rs 694.8. The stock has gained 43.1% in one year and has gained 354.87% since the beginning of 2021.

Ratings agency S&P recently retained the company’s credit rating of ‘BBB’ signalling its improved financial health and debt-servicing ability. In August, the company’s board approved raising Rs 21000 crore through a rights issue to expand its network and prepare for 5G services launch.

Brokerages are positive on the stock. Motilal Oswal (NS: MOFS ) has a buy rating on it with a target price of Rs 720. It says Airtel has a large-scale opportunity in next 2-4 quarters and sees it well placed in the market. The target price would be Rs 720.

CLSA also maintained a buy call on the stock with a target of Rs 780. According to the brokerage, the rights issue and call options will create financial headroom, especially if the government moves on with the 5G spectrum auction.

Citi retained its outperform rating on the stock with a target of Rs 760. It believes that the funds will strengthen Bharti Airtel’s balance sheet and will help it to continue with its investments.
