Q4 Updates from HDFC Bank, Yes Bank and Federal Bank

Investing.com -- Private banks have begun releasing their Q4 FY 2021 updates today.

HDFC Bank Ltd (NS: HDBK ) said that its loans grew 14% to Rs 11.32 lakh crore as of March 31, 2021, from Rs 9.93 lakh crore on March 31, 2020. Domestic retail loans grew by 7.5% year-on-year while domestic wholesale loans grew at 21%. Deposits grew to Rs 13.35 lakh crore from Rs 11.47 lakh crore in 2020. HDFC Bank’s CASA ratio was 46% compared to 42.2% in 2020. A growing CASA ratio is a good indicator of a bank’s financial health. HDFC Bank shares are trading at Rs 1,450.55, down 2.43%, as of this report.

Yes Bank Ltd (NS: YESB ) loans rose 0.8% to around Rs 1.73 lakh crore as of March 31, 2021 from Rs 1.71 lakh crore in March 2020. The bank’s deposits increased by 54.7% to around Rs 1.63 lakh crore from Rs 1.05 lakh crore in 2020. The bank’s CASA ratio was 27.3% compared to 28.5% on March 31, 2020. Yes Bank’s shares are trading at Rs 15.5, down 1.27% as of this report.

Federal Bank Ltd. (NS: FED ) reported its best deposit growth in eight quarters and best advances growth in nine quarters. Deposits clocked in at Rs 1.72 lakh crore, 13.4% year-on-year while advances were up 8.6% at Rs 1.35 lakh crore. Federal Bank’s CASA ratio was 33.81% compared to 30.5% in March 2020. The bank’s shares were trading at Rs 76.75, down 2.66% as of this report.
