The share price of this Power company which deals in the business of AC generators manufacturing and Electric motors for a variety of applications was in focus on Monday after the company received an order worth Rs. 57 crore from Nuclear Corporation of India.

Share Price Movement

In Monday’s trading session, With a market capitalization of Rs. 6,313.72 crores, TD Power Systems Ltd's (NS:TDPS) share price touched a day’s high of Rs. 416.60 which was up by 3.73 percent. The share price reiterated from the day’s high and was trading at Rs. 404.25 which is 0.66 percent higher than the previous closing price of Rs. 401.60. In the past year, the stock has delivered a return of around 49 percent and has outperformed the Nifty Index in the past year.

What happened

The company’s stock surged after the company received an order from the Nuclear Corporation of India (NPCIL) worth Rs. 57 crore for the supply of induction motors. This order would replace the high-speed imported motor with low-speed motors with reduction gearboxes.

The motors are designed to meet requirements like seismic, weight, and titanium tube heat exchanger requirements while customized for the existing base frame and coupling. They will be supplied to NPCIL’s Kudankulam plant, with delivery, erection, and commissioning in FY 2025-27.

Order Book

The company has an order book of around Rs. 1,234.4 crore as of September 2024. The diversified order book stands with Domestic is around 19.4 percent, Exports including Deemed Exports at 48.1 percent, Railways at 30 percent, Spares and Aftermarket at 1.1 percent, and the remaining 1.4 percent from Turkey.

Guidance

The company had given an FY25 revenue guidance of Rs. 1,250 to Rs. 1,275 crore and the capital expenditure spending would be around Rs. 80 crore. The company might provide FY26 guidance in February as per the recent earnings call transcript.
