NDTV Shares Hit Upper Circuit, Streak Extends; Prannoy, Radhika Roy Resign

Investing.com -- Shares of the top media company New Delhi Television Ltd hit an upper circuit for the fourth consecutive session on Wednesday, jumping 5% to Rs 446.3 apiece.

The promoter group vehicle of NDTV (NS: NDTV ), RRPR Holding Private Ltd has informed the bourses that founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy have put in their resignation papers as directors of the board.

According to NDTV’s filing to the exchanges, in a board meeting held on Nov 29, the company’s founders and veteran duo Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy have resigned as directors on the Board of RRPRH.

At the same time, Sudipta Bhattacharya, Sanjay Pugalia and Senthil Sinniah Chengalvarayan have been appointed as the directors of the board of RRPRH with immediate effect.

While Chengalvarayan and Pugalia are veteran journalists, Sudipta Bhattacharya is the CEO of Adani (NS: APSE ) Group-North America as well as the Chief Technology Officer of the Group.
