Morning Watch Stocks for Dec 20: Bharti Airtel Prepays Spectrum Dues, ONGC & More

(NS: BRTI ): The telecom service provider informed the exchanges on Friday, of paying Rs 15,519 crores to the DoT towards prepayment of the entire deferred liabilities subjected to the spectrum it had acquired in the auction of 2014. Airtel is estimated to have saved Rs 3,400 crores worth of interest costs through the prepayment.

Shriram Properties: The real estate development company will get listed on the exchanges on Monday. It has raised Rs 600 crore through the primary route and the issue price is fixed at Rs 118/share. 

Kotak Mahindra Bank (NS: KTKM ): The private lender’s subsidiary, Kotak Securities will purchase a nearly 7.5% stake in Entroq Technologies for Rs 3 crore.

ONGC (NS: ONGC ): The state-owned oil & gas producer’s petrochemical unit has reported its first-ever profit, with a PAT of Rs 18 crore during the first half of the ongoing financial year.

Zomato Ltd (NS: ZOMT ): The online food aggregator acquired a 7.89% stake in the logistics startup company Bigfoot Retail Solutions, with the brand name ‘Shiprocket’.

Ircon International Ltd (NS: IRCN ): The state-owned railway company was chosen as the lowest bidder for a project floated by the NHAI. Besides, the company entered into a partnership with Ayana Renewable Power to set up a solar plant of 500 MW.

Infosys (NS: INFY ): The Government of India’s Common Service Centres (CSCs) scheme and the Bengaluru-based IT giant have collaborated to impart digital skills among 6 crore students from the ages of 10 to 22 years, with a focus on rural areas.
