Maharatna PSU Turns Ex-Dividend Today: Record Date, Dividend Yield & More

Investing.com -- Shares of the Maharatna oil marketing company Bharat Petroleum (NS: BPCL ) are trading ex-dividend on Friday and were down 2% at Rs 340.1 apiece while writing.

The PSU company’s board of directors have set Aug 22, 2022, as the record date for the payment of the final dividend. 

It had announced paying a final dividend of Rs 6/share for the financial year 2021-22 subject to the approval of the company’s shareholders at its annual general meeting on Aug 29.

It further informed that the payment of the final dividend to eligible shareholders will be made within 30 days from the date of its declaration at the AGM.

Besides the final dividend under review, the state-owned petroleum refiner has made two interim dividends of Rs 5/share each in the financial year ending Mar 31, 2021 - one in Nov 2021 and the other in Feb 2022.

This takes the total dividend paid by the OMC in FY22 to Rs 16, taking its current annual dividend yield to about 4.7%.
