Europe Distillates-Diesel cracks climb, weak demand weighs

LONDON, April 26 (Reuters) - Northwest European diesel refining margins rose slightly to about $4.7 a barrel on Monday as crude prices fell, but weak demand in the region weighed.

* No diesel barges changed hands on Monday as demand was weak.

* Oil prices LCOc1 fell on Monday amid concerns about surging COVID-19 cases in India.

* India, the world's third largest oil importer, ordered its armed forces on Monday to help tackle rising infections that are overwhelming hospitals, as countries including Britain, Germany and the United States pledged to send urgent medical aid.

* A diesel-making hydrocracker at Royal Dutch Shell Plc's RDSa.L 227,400 barrel-per-day (bpd) Norco, Louisiana, refinery was partially shut to repair a leak, sources familiar with plant operations said on Monday. REF/OUT
