Changes Made in BSE Indices; Wipro to Replace Bajaj Auto in Sensex & More

Investing.com -- Starting December 20, 2021, the country’s leading IT services provider Wipro Ltd (BO: WIPR ) will be listed on the elite S&P BSE Sensex 30 index, replacing the two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto Ltd (BO: BAJA ).
Research firm Edelweiss Alternative Research pegs the weightage of the index to increment by 1.5%, along with an inflow of $155 million due to the addition of Wipro, while a weightage reduction of 0.7% and $74 million outflow due to the exclusion of Bajaj Auto from the 30-scrip index.
In a recent notice released by the Asia Index Private Limited, several changes have been made to different BSE indices, reconstituting the S&P BSE Sensex , S&P S&P BSE-100 , S&P S&P BSE Sensex Next 50 , and S&P BSE Bankex . These indexes would reflect the changes from December 20.
In the 10-scrip BSE Bankex, the public sector lender Bank of Baroda Ltd (BO: BOB ) will replace the private sector lender City Union Bank Ltd (BO: CTBK ).
In the indices BSE 100 and Sensex Next 50, four companies will be replaced, namely Biocon Ltd. (BO: BION ), Power Finance Corporation Ltd (BO: PWFC ), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (BO: TORP ) and REC Ltd (BO: RECM ).
Their positions would be held by Adani (NS: APSE ) Transmission Ltd (BO: ADAI ), Adani Total Gas Ltd (BO: ADAG ), SRF Ltd (BO: SRFL ) and Max Financial Services Ltd (BO: MAXI ).
Additionally, Asia Index Private Limited also announced that two new stocks, One 97 Communications Ltd (NS: PAYT ) and Sapphire Foods India Ltd (BO: SAPI ) will be added to the S&P BSE IPO , starting November 23, 2021.
