Bank deposits, lending rise in latest week, Fed data shows

Invesitng.com -- Bank deposits, and lending rose in week ended July 26, the latest data from the Fed showed.

Deposits at large U.S. banks rose by $3.3 billion to $17.339 trillion from a week earlier, on a seasonally adjusted basis.

Commercial bank lending inched up by $12.6B to a seasonally adjusted $12.123 during the week, the Fed data showed.

Residential real estate lending fell $2.3B, commercial real estate loans were unchanged from a the week earlier, while consumer loans were up $1.6B from the prior week.
