Alstom earnings miss, Revenue beats in Q4

Investing.com - Alstom (PA: ALSO ) reported on Thursday fourth quarter earnings that missed analysts' forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.

Alstom announced earnings per share of €1.02 on revenue of €1.95B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of €1.10 on revenue of €1.89B. That with comparison to EPS of €0.51 on revenue of €2.05B in the same period a year before.Alstom had reported EPS of €- on revenue of €2.06B in the previous quarter.

Alstom shares are down 7% from the beginning of the year and are trading at €39.26 , down-from-52-week-high.They are outperforming the STOXX 600 which is down 14.59% year to date.

Alstom follows other major Capital Goods sector earnings this month

Alstom's report follows an earnings missed by Airbus Group on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, who reported EPS of €0.23 on revenue of €10.63B, compared to forecasts EPS of €0.27 on revenue of €10.63B.

Bouygues had missed expectations on Thursday, May 14, 2020 with first quarter EPS of €-0.54 on revenue of €7.22B, compared to forecast for EPS of €-0.13 on revenue of €6.95B.
