Investing.com -- All global indicators point to a strong day for the bulls in today’s markets. Nifty and BSE Sensex are expected to open higher today on the back of the US stimulus package, Asian markets performing well and oil prices staying up. Nifty Futures are also trading up 0.21% which is another strong indicator for a green opening.

  1. Strong US Markets: US markets have been trading higher thanks to the expected rollout of the stimulus package by the Joe Biden administration. Large retailers like Walmart (NYSE: WMT ) are scheduled to release their earnings this week, and the expectation from them is also high. US futures have been trading up with Dow Jones 30 Futures up 0.1%, and S&P 500 Futures and Nasdaq 100 Futures up 0.5% each.
  2. Asian Markets Open up: It’s been a strong opening for Asian markets with Nikkei 225 trading up 1.17% and KOSPI 50 up 1.68%. Australia’s benchmark is also up 1%. Hopes of a faster-than-expected recovery from the pandemic are spurring markets on.
  3. Oil Crosses $60: Crude oil prices have crossed $60 as the OPEC+ alliance decided to cut output to stabilize prices. While this means that demand is not yet back as strongly as OPEC+ would have liked, the group has decided to take this decision until its members are satisfied that demand is here to stay.
