3 Companies with Profit Growth Between 994-3,931% in March Quarter

Investing.com -- When companies log monumental profit in a year, one expects that things are going well for them. However, this could also mean that the company is just working off a weak base or it has resolved multiple issues that have been plaguing it. Here’s a look at three companies that have seen amazing growth in profits for the March 2021 quarter compared to their figures in March 2020.

  1. Nippon Life India Asset Management Ltd (NS: NIPF ): The company reported a profit of Rs 166.51 crore for the quarter ended March 2021 compared to Rs 4.13 crore in March 2020. The stock had been underperforming for the past couple of years but now seems to have put all of that behind it. It closed May 25 at Rs 348.6. ICICI Direct has a ‘hold’ rating on the stock and has revised its target price upwards to Rs 360 from its earlier estimate of Rs 300.
  2. Dalmia Bharat Ltd B (NS: DALB ): The company’s profit soared 2,567% to Rs 640 crore from Rs 24 crore in March 2020. The stock closed May 25 on Rs 1,859.2. Motilal Oswal (NS: MOFS ) has given the stock a target of Rs 1,905 while Emkay has a target of Rs 2,060.
  3. Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. (NS: KAPT ): The company reported a profit of Rs 197 crore, up 994% from Rs 18 crore in March 2020. HDFC (NS: HDFC ) Securities has given the stock a target of Rs 560. The stock closed at Rs 427.45 on May 25.
