The Ugar Sugar Works Limited is an India-based sugar factory. The Company is primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale of sugar, industrial and potable alcohol, and the generation and distribution of electricity. It is involved in the manufacture of sugar integrated with cogeneration of power and distillery operations and Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL). It manufactures white crystal sugar and in its plants is crushing a total of approximately 18,000 tons of cane per day. The Company is operating over 44 megawatts (MW) bagasse-based cogeneration power plant. The Company has over two distilleries at Ugar, where many of its India Made Liquor (IML) brands, Old Castle Premium Whisky, U.S. Whisky, U.S. Brandy and U.S. Gin are manufactured, and also manufacture ethanol. The Company's plants are located at Ugarkhurd in Belagavi District and at Malli-Nagarhalli Village in Kalburgi District in the state of Karnataka. The Company’s wholly owned subsidiary is Ugar Theatre Private Ltd.
