Net income was EUR 6,401 million compared to EUR 6,231 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was EUR 7.92 compared to EUR 7.85 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was EUR 7.82 compared to EUR 7.75 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was EUR 8.11 compared to EUR 7.87 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was EUR 8 compared to EUR 7.77 a year ago.
