General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited, a general insurance company, provides underwriting services for commercial, personal property, and casualty insurance products in Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados. It operates through Motor; Fire and Allied Perils; Marine; Liability; Engineering and Machinery Breakdown; and Miscellaneous Accidents segments. The company covers loss of motor vehicles, including liabilities to third parties; loss, damage, and destruction of residential and commercial properties due to fire and allied perils, burglary, theft, and accidental damage; loss or damage of goods from sea and other perils while in transit by sea, air, or land, and from warehouse to warehouse; accidental bodily injury and death due to liability; and loss or damage of equipment by fire, burglary, theft, accidental damage, and electrical and mechanical breakdown. It also offers miscellaneous accident insurance comprising fidelity guarantee, goods in transit, loss of money, plate glass, personal accident, and burglary. In addition, the company provides car seat coverage; home-owners, commercial all risks, and consequential loss/business interruption; travel; public, products, and employers liability; director and officers liability; equipment, contractors, and computer all risk; tender/bid, performance, and mobilization bond; and marine cargo insurance. General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited was incorporated in 1979 and is based in Kingston, Jamaica. General Accident Insurance Company Jamaica Limited is a subsidiary of Musson (Jamaica) Limited.
